TERMS & CONDITIONS
The homecookinglisbon.com website (hereafter referred to as the "Site") is operated by Ornelas & Firmino Santos, Lda (hereafter referred to as "us", "we" or "owners") a company registered in Lisbon, Portugal. It provides cooking classes, experiences, team building workshops, private events, products and merchandise (hereafter referred to as the "Services" or "Products").
These Terms & Conditions (hereafter referred to as the "Terms") govern your access to the Site and use of the Services.
- Acceptance of Terms
- Our Services and Products
When purchasing our services or products you are entitled to what is described on the Site. Our services and products can be purchased online at the Site, through our online certified partner and/or directly at our venues. All classes and experiences will take place at our venues. Please note that traditional Portuguese food is not vegetarian or vegan friendly and may not be suited if you have any food allergy and/or restriction. In any of these situations, we kindly ask you to contact us before purchasing our services.
- Booking and payment
3.1. Booking for Homecooking Lisbon services and products should be made using the booking form in the Site, through our certified partners or directly at our venue;
3.2. After receiving confirmation of availability of our services and payment will be charged through ou partners;
3.3. When booking an activity, full payment is required. The booking and the full payment must be made at least 24 hours prior to the event you want to attend. If you intend to attend an event in the same day you are trying to book it, please contact us directly.
3.4. Our services and products can be paid at our online store using the methods available and provided by our secure third-party payment processors.
3.5. Payment process fees may apply according to your choice of payment method.
3.6. Payments must be made in Euros.
3.7. The minimum number of participants for each service is indicated on the service description.
- Cancellation policy for Services and Products
4.1. In case of cancellation by Homecooking Lisbon of any service due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as soon as possible, and you will be offered the option to get a full refund or rebook the service in a form of a credit note valid for 6 months. In any case, Homecooking Lisbon is not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.
4.2. Client cancellations must be made up until 72 hours before the service takes place, and must be validated through our email;
4.3. Full refund or re-schedule is available if the cancelation is made up to 72 hours period as mentioned above, no refunds will occur after that deadline;
4.4. Payment process fees charged by our third-party payment processors are non-refundable;
4.5. Products purchased through the Site can only be reimbursed during the first 10 days after being bought, if all the contents of the packaged are returned in mint condition;
4.6. Clients are responsible for shipping cost of returned products;
4.7. Refunds are only processed after receiving the returned package and upon evaluation of its condition. If the code has been used, or any content inside is missing, no refund is available.
- Minimum Age
5.1. Except for the services indicated, our minimum age acceptance is 18 years old;
5.2. Children under 18 years old may attend an adult class, when accompanied by a participant above 18 years old, paying accordingly to service description on the Site;
5.3. Alcohol beverages won´t be served to anyone under 18 years old;
5.4. Services offered to participants under 18 years are strictly for the ages specified on those services descriptions. We reserve ourselves the right to refuse entry to anyone under 18 years if we believe the Services may not be safe for them. Please contact us prior to any children service booking.
5.5. Our services are free for children under 6 years old and a 50% discount applies for children between 6 and 12 years old, unless stated otherwise on the service description.
- Participant responsibilities and liability releases
7.1. Our services start punctually according to schedule. Please arrive 15 minutes before schedule, to ensure you have time to prepare yourself. In case of late arrival, it´s your responsibility to catch up/meet up with the rest of the participants and minimize disruption;
7.2. In case of illness (e.g. colds and flu, fever, diarrhea, vomiting etc.) within 48 hours before your class, clients must not attend the Services as not to harm other participants;
7.3. We reserve ourselves the right to refuse entry (with no refund or Service re-scheduling) if a client is deemed unwell and risks infecting others participants and/or if it is clearly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs;
7.4. Participation in Homecooking Lisbon Services will involve the use of cooking equipment and tools in a busy teaching kitchen environment. It is understood and expressly agreed by the participants, to release, indemnify and hold harmless Homecooking Lisbon, its owners or employees, from any and all liability of any kind for any damage and/or injury incurred while attending or visiting Homecooking Lisbon;
7.5. The liability regime complies with the general principles of law. Luggage and personal items are the responsibility of the client, who must ensure their safety. The client releases Homecooking Lisbon, its owners and its employees from any and/or liability of any kind for any damage or loss of client´s personal property while attending or visiting Homecooking Lisbon;
7.6. The participant, children accompanying, or group organizer may be held financially responsible for any damage to or loss of Homecooking Lisbon property during the Services. The cost of repairing any damage to walls, doors or other parts of the property because of inappropriate conduct will be charged to the person or hiring company involved."
- Allergy policy and/or food restriction
8.1. Homecooking Lisbon may use nuts, wheat, dairy, sugar and other raw natural ingredients and wholefoods on its premises. We are aware of potential allergies to these foods and the severity of the reactions some individual may experience, as well as some food restriction participants may have. For this purpose, please contact us by e-mail for more information or special request, prior to booking our Services.
8.2. We reserve ourselves the right to refuse entry any of our Services (with no refund available) if the participant has a known allergy or food restriction and hasn’t informed us prior to attending the booked Service."
